Something different came up today: a reunion with my former workmates in the hospital. This afternoon, I received an SMS from my co-nurse inviting me for dinner because one of our friends is back for her vacation. Of course, I would not pass up on the chance. After all, they are my first colleagues and I miss them so. Liza came back from Abu Dhabi to have her annual vacation. She treated us for a buffet dinner at Tramway where we had our stomachs stuffed with food, and our spirits filled with laughter and good cheer. It was nice to see them again. Most of us are now out of the hospital where we first met but the memories and friendship shall never be forgotten.

Catching up with good ‘ol friends is a sure way to brighten up one’s day. It is like going back to the best days of one’s life as memories are rekindled and friendships are strengthen.

I love weekends! It is my time to do special things; activities outside my routine that really put a smile on my face. Today’s post involves a children’s party, dancing with friends and comfort food.
We went to McDonald’s Pioneer today for a children’s party. It was my nephew Yohan’s first birthday. Being the mother that I am, kids’ parties always make me excited for my son, Van. Just like me, Van is very cheerful and fun-loving. He loves dancing, playing games, talking with other people and singing the birthday song. You can just imagine how happy he is during parties and today’s event is no different. Seeing him smile is enough to cause me bliss.

After the party, I head on over to my workmate Jade’s place in Quezon City to practice our dance number for our upcoming company Christmas party. Dancing has always been my release. I love the adrenaline rush, the challenge of making and memorising dance steps and everything about it. After an intense workout, we had a hearty dinner at Banapple Il Terrazo. All of us had a sumptuous comfort meal. We were so full right after. It was fun to spend time with them outside of work.
Indeed, it was yet another fun filled day for yours truly. This is one of those days I consider busy but packed with nothing but goodness. 🙂
Ciao,
